"Kathleen and her partner Michael were just the experienced professionals I needed to help prepare and sell the very run down but charming property that my parents had lived in for 45 years. I hardly knew where to start! I had consulted a neighborhood realtor who showed me glossy photos and the portfolio she would use to sell my home, but that did not seem appropriate for my situation and I did not hire her. A friend referred me to Kathleen who had helped her with selling and buying previously - and am I glad she did! Kathleen immediately recognized the enormity of the work needed prior to selling (maybe without making the house a "scrape" which I feared) and offered numerous contacts I could choose from to get a better idea of how to proceed and what my options might be. She also advised me how to navigate through the potentially formidable probate/sale process; we bypassed numerous obstacles by honestly listing the property as a major fixer-upper and holding out for cash buyers who could see and do the rework themselves. Kathleen always called, texted or emailed me right away, and every service provider she recommended was excellent. You can hear the warm smile and wisdom in Kathleen's voice, and I still like to say she held my hand through the whole process - exactly what I needed! Our asking price was prudently set to sell; Kathleen and Michael staffed two open houses and handled a number of inquiries. We reviewed multiple offers: all were over our asking price; a couple seemed naive or unlikely to fund; and two seemed likely with one "too good to be true".
